FAQ

Could the event be cancelled due to weather?
Weather is always a risk with outdoor events. Race management will make all attempts to conduct the event and will make appropriate adjustments to the course in case of inclement weather. There is no "rain date" and refunds are ot given if the event is altered or cancelled due to inclement weather.

Triathlon bike traffic will enter at Gate 4 off of CTH-J and proceed counter-clockwise around the road. All bicycle traffic will be one-way and cyclists will have unrestricted access to use the whole road. Because of that, we will be applying for a rules variance to allow use of the entire roadway - that is we are looking to suspend Rule 5.10(f) Position fouls. Note: Blocking (5.10(d)) would still be in effect.

How will you ensure that cyclists do the proper number of loops?
Our goal is to assist you in counting. Olympic cyclists will be provided a zip-tie with four (4) pre-punched tags. The tags should be strung on the zip-tie and then the zip-tie is fastened to your handle-bar or handle bar-step. You will be instructed to remove a tag upon completion of each loop. When you remore your last loop, you should exit at Gate 5 on the next pass.

Also, this year, timing pads will be placed at the Track to count your laps. This will help the timers determine POST RACE if anyone did not do the correct number of laps.

Note-Per USAT rules, participants are ultimately responsible for doing the entire course (Rule 3.4a and 5.3)
